What is truth??

Great is truth and mighty above all things (I Esdras 4:41) So mighty we swear "to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth..." in courts today. Sadly, the truth in our courts today is compromised, trampled and worked around in the name of winning and the Law. Case after Case are showcased on television and the Internet of people spending years and much of their lives behind bars because of "bad science" and "of zealous prosecutors" and "No money for defense". It is almost a joke to say "truth and justice and the American way" today.

Our justice and political system stand like Pilate facing Jesus, truth incarnate, and asking "what is truth?". The Nation is losing its knowledge of God, the Great War and the meaning of life. We have outlawed God from the schools and public places. So truth or reality becomes relevant to circumstance. This then becomes the delight of the evil one!! This becomes a field day for his Lies. The greatest weapon in Satan's arsenal is the LIE. Indeed, Jesus calls him the father of lies (v44) and the Great Deceiver.

Lies are behind Satan's deception, frauds, and untruths that have trapped mankind through the ages. His promises of sexual bliss outside of marriage, or his false religions or a score of other promises he twists the reality of life into a trap. He knows he cannot change the reality of life but he sure can hide it among scores of false hopes, promises, dreams and religions. Like a true diamond on a tabletop he can hide it among thousands of fake diamonds. Then only those who know and seek the true diamond can find it. Only those who seek the truth or reality shall be set free.

(John 8:32 KJV) And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

That Truth, of course, is the Kingdom of God and his righteousness. In particular, it is Jesus Christ, the manifestation of God in the flesh. He is the door () and the gateway to reality. He is the truth. He is God's diamond in a world of deceptions. He is the light of the world!

(1 Tim 3:15 KJV) But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth. (1 Tim 3:16 KJV) And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

(John 8:12 KJV) Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

If prosecutors, judges, politicians, defense attorneys and Indeed all people everywhere would seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness they would find themselves living in reality and free from the snares of the evil one. However, Truth or reality starts with you!

Jesus will lead you to reality. Do not believe the lies. The disciplines and rules are there to help you live in reality. Jesus Loves you and is there for you. Many will try and deceive you. They will claim, among other things, that Jesus Christ never came in the flesh. They will claim to be another incarnation of Jesus. Yes, Satan throws out many fake diamonds hoping to deceive even the elect. Do not be fooled! Be Freed by the Truth. We have that promise.

(1 John 4:2 KJV) Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: (1 John 4:3 KJV) And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

Ok. Now it's time to decide. Is Jesus Christ reality or not? Some say that "all ways lead to God" and that truth is relative. People have told me "if Jesus is real for you, fine but he is not real for me". Let's take a reality check. If there was a bomb hidden in the room we both were in and I shouted, "there's a bomb in this room. Get out!" Would you say to me, "If you believe there's a bomb in the room, fine, get out. I don't believe there's a bomb so for me there is no bomb." That doesn't work does it! When the bomb goes off it's your guts and bones all over the room.
